Posted on: August 17th, 2017

Ruth Claiborne, founding partner of Claiborne | Fox | Bradley | Goldman, recently represented the firm as a guest speaker for the Rotary Club of Highlands on July 17 in Highlands, N.C.

She spoke on legal and interdisciplinary issues in family-building through adoption and assisted reproduction, highlighting the many advantages of these modern family-building options for hopeful parents. Her presentation included information on adoption; egg, sperm and embryo donation; in vitro fertilization; gestational surrogacy; and egg-freezing to preserve fertility.

She was introduced by her husband, Tom Claiborne, and by Jane Jerry, both members of the Rotary Club of Highlands, and presented with a hiking stick as a gift to thank her for her presentation. Her presentation was also featured in the local Highlander newspaper.

Ruth regularly speaks at seminars and meetings for consumers, lawyers, doctors, nurses, mental health professionals, and advocates on legal and practical aspects of reproductive law, including egg, sperm and embryo donation, traditional and gestational surrogacy. Her recent presentation at the Rotary Club is demonstrative of her ongoing commitment to and involvement in the communities she serves.
